I can't believe it's ANOTHER freakin year whooshing by, but hey, it's been pretty damn good I reckon. While life hasn't exactly been rainbows and butterflies all the way through (apologies to MG, I know you don't like butterflies and think they're creepy) but shit happens. And that is why you hold your friends close, no matter what. Thank you for being my rocks, boys and girls. Can I name one? My one and only and bestest Wendy Limey :) what on earth am I gonna do when you go on exchange? Skype?? Another one: Jenny Chhen. Another one: Jinsern. Steph.

The first exam was unexpectedly (almost bizarrely) good to do, considering last semester's formulation chemistry papers changed from the past papers by quite a fair bit. It even got D swearing a little, and I've never really seen him sweat :) but yes. Although I did miss out on that Noyes-Whitney equation, but the rest was all good. Another pro is not only I am now going to pass formulation chemistry, but also that it is a major confidence booster when you've done your first exam and walked out of that sterile exam room feeling you've just smashed that exam.

Has anyone else tried that Pulse 5 Wrigley's gum in tropical flavor? It is the bomb. K, you got me hooked. Remember that time during the Dulux trip for Industry Week? I was falling asleep and you offered me a stick? Yeaaah, I haven't been able to stop since then. Well, that, and Eclipse cinnamon mints. It makes my breath probably smell like I've just stuffed myself on a dozen or so cinnamon donuts.. (Homer Simpson style) but I love it.

What's getting me through the exam period is surprisingly unproductive. Camping in front of the comp waiting for Gossip Girl to come. Ok, I didn't do it the past, what 3 weeks since I've tried to be good and study. I even disabled the internet at home. I was about to (key word 'about') deactivate my Facebook account, but I cannot bear to be not telling the world what I'm doing every 2 seconds. Not. No really, self-control is the issue here and I have to admit... I have none.

There is going to be a Tintern reunion today! :) I miss the girls. Okay I've seen a couple more times lately, like from various people's 21sts. I wonder who's coming today, hope it'll be plenty.

Random moment of today: I was about to open the balcony door this morning and ohmygosh there was approximately 20 flies on it. No kidding. It's like they've all taken refuge on MY balcony sliding door. My head went into overdrive and though, k if there's 20 on MY door, there's 9 apartments on every floor, 35 floors. So 20 x 9 x 35... 6300 FLIES ON ONE FREAKING BUILDING

Oh sweet mudda pudding.

Shoutout to Wendy Lime who I know will be reading this: distracted enough? LOL. I'm saving watching all those awesome TED vids for AFTER exams. I'm afraid of having nothing to do once exams finish.. It's like I'll have lost my life's purpose... until I find some new fad to do.

I LOVE uni life, just the studying bit has got to go. True, some of this I brought upon myself- "okay i'm gonna do my pharmacol prac report NOW... oooooh wait so-and-so has just commented on my Wall! I won't be long, just gonna have a quick peek............."
Suffice it to say that my "won't be long" generally means 2 hours later going, oh no, library's closing, let's go home and it's sleep time! Quite like how my 'may be's often mean yes. And no, at the same time. But that is another topic for another day.

Note to self: pharmacol midsemester test, mcb midsemester test, pharmacol prac reports (current count: 3), product development assignment

Yeah like I said, the studying bit kind of suck.
But I love wearing trackies to uni and being a total bum in the caf, eating Leon's muffins that never fail to make my day.

 

Yesterday I went on a number 19 tram on Elizabeth St. And if you are a regular patron of that line of tram (such as moi), you'd recognize the eternally-happy tram driver. I nickname him Mr. Toothbrush- because he has a toothbrush moustache the size of the Grand Canyon. I exaggerate, and it's totally irrelevant, but you get the picture. He is also unfailingly cheerful, and armed with his comments and expression, he is quite the tram driver with a personality, and I like that. He makes my day.

You know what DOESN'T make my day? People who get on the tram and choose to sit next to me that smell like they haven't showered for... a while. I am aware there are water restrictions in place, but REALLY. A shower a day would not hurt.

 

May I also say something to the first years who come in loud, loud droves into the library's quiet study section... It's called the quiet study area for a reason, so stop it!!!!! Phwoar.

 

This is turning into a rant, but I also think that molecular cell biology pracs really SUCK. Besides being unprepared, the demonstrators are sort of... lost. I think twice they told me and my partner Shelley (LAB partner, mind you) to add this much to that much, and they were WRONG- we ended up repeating the whole thing and well that made us finish later than supposed finish time. Prac days I have work after, so every little bit of time we can spare is precious.

 

The long awaited (by me anyway) Pharmacy Ball has happened. No I did not go hard, but yes I had a very good time, which goes to prove that I don't need alcohol to have a good time. Photos on Monday I think. Everyone looked gorgeous and handsome and daymn that was one good night, for more reasons than you know ;)
